What is a Countertop Basin?

A countertop basin is mounted on top of a level surface (such as a worktop, vanity unit or shelf) and offer a unique alternative to the standard bathroom sink, as well as allowing for additional storage options. Choose from 150+ countertop basins by; popular basin widths (such as 500mm, 550mm and 600mm); basin depths (such as 400mm, 450mm and 500mm) as well as the number of tap holes. Typical modern countertop basins usually have zero tap holes - allowing you to choose either an external deck-mounted or wall-mounted tap. Although, some countertop basins still have tap hole options.

Most countertop basins don't come with any tap holes, this means that you will most likely need to purchase either a deck-mounted or wall-mounted tap, depending on your preference. This allows for a much more unique bathroom design. However, there are still countertop basins that do some with one, two or more tap hole options.

Countertop basins can be fitted or mounted to almost any level surface, such as a shelf, flat worktop or vanity unit. 

The most common countertop type is that simply sits on top of a level surface - usually having no tap holes. There are also semi-recessed countertop basins, which (as you can guess) are slightly recessed into a vanity unit, there is also inset countertop basins which (again, as you can probably guess) are fully inset within the vanity unit.

Additionally, there are many styles of countertop basins: incorporating slim and sleek modern design elements, as well as more traditional design features with more intricate shapes and details.
